About BargainShop

Fewer middlemen. Better fabric. A fairer price.

We work with a small group of workshops to keep our range tight, our standards high, and the markup between fabric and rack as thin as we can make it.

Our quality standard

Every piece we list is inspected against a written checklist before it's photographed: seam strength, fabric weight consistency, color-fastness, and stitch density all have to clear a minimum bar.

  • Fabric composition is verified and listed to the percent on every product page.
  • Reinforced stitching at stress points — pockets, buttonholes, waistbands.
  • A pre-shrink or wash test on new fabric lots before they enter the catalog.
  • Care instructions written from our own in-house wash testing, not assumed from fabric type alone.

Ethical sourcing

We buy directly from a small roster of workshops we've visited in person, rather than routing through unnamed intermediaries. That means fewer hands take a cut, and it's easier for us to check working conditions ourselves.

Direct partnerships

Long-term relationships with workshops we revisit each season, not one-off spot orders.

Fair-hour commitments

Partner workshops commit to standard working hours and documented overtime pay.

Lower-impact fabrics

Preference given to organic, recycled or responsibly-farmed fibers where quality allows.

Small production runs

We restock rather than overproduce, which keeps unsold inventory — and waste — low.

Store policies

Unworn items with tags attached can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery for a full refund to your original payment method. Final-sale accessories are marked clearly on their product page and excluded from returns.

Standard orders ship within 2 business days and typically arrive in 4–7 business days. Orders over $75 ship free; all other orders carry a flat $6.95 shipping fee shown at checkout.

Every product page lists the available size range. If a piece runs notably large or small compared to standard sizing, that note is called out directly in the product description rather than buried in a separate size chart.

The original price shown next to every discount reflects our standard retail price for that item over the preceding 90 days, not an inflated reference figure introduced only for the sale.
